A few hours later I will be leaving LA. Going back to Santa Cruz.

Uru & char decided to go Santa Cruz with us. Yippie!!!!!

So I will be back on 28Sep Friday afternnon, so fast arh.... But I am leaving for Hokkaido at night for a week I think. If I am not going to Hokkaido, I will be having a three-some with Uru & Char.

The 2 of them are going on a honeymoon, dunno when they will be back and dunno where they will be going after San Francisco.

Anyway, I miss my frens in Singapore and local food.

7 more days before I am done with Boardwalk's Summer. Feeling kinda off sad to leave cos it was a great summer although I am getting sick of my job.
Last day of work is going to be 3rd Sep, then on the 4th Sep is end-of summer party for employees and 5th Sep time to leave Santa Cruz and head to New York in the evening....

So is call the Bowling Night, whereby we pay $1.00 for a game and shoes free... What a good deal. They had this for a few times already but last wednesday was Xue Xue & my first time going for it....

After the Bowling night suppose to be home sweet home cos it was already 12 plus i think, but we met tony at the car park this other colleague and he was going for Evgenia Farwell, so all of us went...

The star of the night is the next to Sonia, one of the prettiest Bulgarian Girl...

We stayed an hour or so and after that went home to sleep...

The next morning Rong, Xue & I were going to Gilroy Factoy Outlet. We were suppose to wake up at 5.30 cos the greyhound bus leaves at 6.30am. But guess what I woke up at 6.25am, Rong and Xue still sleeping....

Oh well, we rush down to try our luck, it was 6.50am then but I still see people waiting outside the greyhound ticket station, so I asked if the bus was late... And yes Greyhound got delayed... It came arounf 7.30am. Not so bad afterall, managed to make it to Gilroy. My last time going there.

Busy week Again

The weeks is coming to an end. My room-mate Nhung is leaving on Monday.
And very soon I will be ending work at Boardwalk also. So sad, summer is going to come to an end.
Sad not cos I miss working, in fact I am sick of it, dun understand how the locals can work for 3-6 summers as a ride operator.
Next is, I am damn broke, forever spending money on shopping, food & outings........ Haven't even saved for the holiday trip. Headache, i am only left with one month. I really need to work hard but boardwalk is so stingy with their hours lor. N cos of timing problem is so hard to co-ordinate the hours. Hiyar!!! sigh!

Oh well, I have a third job, as a Game Operator, basically is an easier job but very boring cos not many people will pay money to play. But of cos there are crazy americans who will play till they win a prize.

Why I have a third job thanks to Marinis the manager who is AIRHEAD, I have not beeen working there for like 2 weeks, she didn't bother to put us on schedule.
But game operators is so much better than Marinis... Bad point is, really really really boring when nobody plays your game.

Basically today I went to San Frans, this trip is 25bucks which includes the bus ride there & back, bay cruise & wax musuem.

It was really a wonderful surprise after work on Wed. Trying so hard to keep me away from house, warning me not to come back during the breaks, making sure I wear the correct shoes to work yesterday. Thanks for everything. So touched & happie to have frens to celebrate my birthday in a foreign land. Lots of Kisses & Hugs to Xuexue, Nhung, Rong, Michelle & Gen.

Celebrated birthday in SANTA CRUZ. So exciting.

Last year's birthday celebrated in Changi Airport and on the plane to Bangkok. Haha!

The First Party that I went : Carlos Birthday Party @ Edgar's House

Edgar and Carlos are leaders in Boardwalk. So basically Edgar usually holds parties without getting complaint so that's why Carlos Party was at Edgar's house.

Edgar's house is at Watsonville very far away about 30mins drive. That night Xue & I stayed over at Julie's place.

This is Cristina, they call her Monkey. Poor gal always get bullied around. She is another friendly and nice leader. The rest is Xue, Julie & I.

The party is about drinking and dancing. So cool right, Bianca who is due next month still can dance around with Gaby.... Hip Siah!

And Edgar doing stupid things to Patty, dun worry Edgar is Gay he doesn't like gals. That's wat they say...

13 July: Friday Night Rui Rong's Bday

I was off on that day and Xue, Rong & Nhung they were all working for boardwalk so I brought the cake to breakroom and waited for all the afternoon shift people to end work. It was a surprise for RuiRong.

The birthday cake, forget to take a picture of it before that. I love the cake so much. Is like a rainbow. I love Rainbows. I know is not my birthday, but that was the best looking cake available. Thank goodness Michelle was with me when I buy the cake or else Rong , Xue & Nhung will think I purposely bought that cake cos I like Rainbows. :)

Although it wasn't my birthday cake, but this is the coolest birthday cake. So big & rainbow with sunshine. Never see such cake in Singapore before.

Hurray, next thursday is my Birthday and is my off day. Feel so old man. The people here so young but they look abit older than their age.

On Monday night went to watch Transformers with Julie, Kristina & Kevin....

The movie was good...

After the show, we bought tickets for Next tuesday Mid-night show Harry Porter. So exciting, next day wed I am working at 10.30am.
Kristina & Julie applied for Tueday morning shift and Wed afternoon shift already.
They are lead/supervisor easier for them to talk to the manager.

I am pissed off with our Manager Ellen, so not flexible la. Cos I have thur & fri off days and xue /rong have wed & thur off day. So I found a gal who is willing to swop with me. She will go work on Wed & I will go work on Fri. Basically is instead on me working on wed, is gona be her so is the same for friday, instead of her working I will be working. Such request also get declined. Her stand was cos we are given fixed schdules so can't changed. So sian la .....

Thurday was our off day, before going to Michelle's place we had lunch at Downtown, Shogun Jap restaurant. Oh well, Zixue & I stay overnight our thur & fri cos Aunty Mary & Uncle Lenny & Nate went to Las Vegas. So we went over to accompany Michelle. The house so big so scary to stay alone.

Last Wednesday, zixue & I headed to downtown after my work, then bump into Kevin one of our leaders, he was at downtown waiting for Kristina & Juilie to watch Die Hard. So we ended joining them for the movie. After that at 11pm - 1am was arcade madness, means we get to play the games for free.

Today is America's INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!

For the past few days there were small scale fireworks.

Today the actual day, the fireworks lasted for very very very long close to an hour or even longer.

So cool la, the beach is filled with people playing sparkles and the sky is filled with fireworks.

Anyway, tomorrow is my off day. The plan is to go shopping at San Jose. Yippie!!!

Is been a long time since I blog, i think for a week or so. Since last wednesday I have been so busy with different activities.

Oh well yesterday was fun, got to work at Dipper with zixue & 2 other nice people & caring/efficient sup Kristina.

In the morning, the 4 of us working there went on the rides for testing left Kristina to control the ride. So cool la, nobody else on the ride except 4 ride operators & mechanics & we got to go twice in a row.

Initially, I didn't want to go cos is test ride, wat if something cock up. But it won't la. HeeHee!
I am beginning to love Giant Dipper. Is so fun big big roller coaster.

After work, came back watched Dicey Business HKK show is a new show got it from Zixue. In the evening went on the rides with RuiRong & Nhung. Zixue had to work at candy shop. Tonight we will go on rides again.

So proud of Rong, finally she went on Dipper with me :) All the scarely cats are going on Dipper... HeeHee.

Oh well, can't wait for work to end & wonder wat rides will we be operating today.

As for Xue & Rong, their off days on Wed & Thur, too bad Ellen only gave 2 fixed schedules the same. But is good enough, at least she us choose first.

And as for my second job, I am working on Friday 4pm- CL. That will be the 1st day of work.
Finally!!! Hopefully tiffany will give us more hours to work.... So pathetic, just one day

Haven't beeen updating the blog....

A little bit busy cos of work & outtings...

Basically on thur which was my off day, Zixue, Rong & I went to Capitola Mall... spend alot of money... :) Zixue & I always partners in crime for shopping heehee!!!

After capitola mall, came back around 4 plus, then went to the beach to meet Michelle, Nate, Aunty Mary, Aunty Mary's fren Abi & her son Joey. Joey is so cute & he likes to shake to the music. After that headed for a Sumptuous buffet at downtown L8 Buffet, where there is sashimi, sushi, seafood & chinese food. Yummy Yummy... Not expensive just 15bucks only.

Next day, it was japanese food for dinner somewhere near capitola mall...

It was our leaders who brought us there, so nice of Kevin to invite us to join them for dinner & even have to send us back home. We have been suspecting whether Kevin & Julie are together but I doubt so, they are probably very very very very close frens.

Is so fun to be with Julie I love working with her at Dipper. But nowadays no luck to work with her at Dipper so sad....

Tried to take some pictures but I was too far away from it.... On Friday it was so packed & croweded on the beach... Happening!!!!!!!!!!

The first show starts at 6,30pm and we left at 7pm cos had to wait for Kevin & Julie to end work.

Look at the amount of people on the beach, ANTS. This is just a small portion, there are many many many many more people around.
And also they close Hurrican (Roller Coaster) during the concert, cos the ride is too loud & noisy. And switch off the music at Double Shot....

New Week Again

Today I start Work at 3pm. Having my lunch now.... But halfway Zixue called regarding the fixed schedual. So I ran all the way to the break room at Boardwalk.

Not too bad la, although we couldn't get the same schedule but isn't that bad afterall. Zixue & Rong same. And mine only 2 days different from theirs. HeeHee!!!

Which means next week onwards we can start on our second job. CANDY CANDY

Moving on, this morning I went to the library to borrow books. One time can borrow up to 99 books for about 3 weeks. So cool la.
I went to borrow travel books, as I am starting to plan for my end of sep holiday project.

If URU & CHAR is reading this, you must often e-mail me or have discussion with me kae. I will e-mail more often regarding the holiday plans.

This thursday is our off day. Dunno where to go, maybe go capitola mall. Cos is not too far & no need spend so much money. Each shopping trip will cost us a bomb.

This year is a very special year cos Boardwalk is celebrating their 100 years. Oh well on friday morning had to report work at 8.45am for safety meeting, then at 9am go for the birthday celebration at Merry-go-round, where free rides, cakes & drinks. HaHa! Then ard 10.30 report for work.

What is the safety meeting all about? Ellen our manager says we will have the worlds' shortest safety meeting. Basically we gather outside our breakroom, stand in 2 rows and do warm up exercise for 10mins. Cos to prevent accidents while operating the ride, as a ride operator we should be fit. So that was the safety meeting. But who cares, we are paid anyway. HAHA!

Just spoke to derelyn online, hummm...
What should I do when I go back, take up MBA, another degree or find a job...
Somehow this america trip is an escape for me not to start work so soon.

Derelyn is thinking of getting her masters in perth, it will be fun & good if I can join her. But do i really want to study and if I study what is the correct & right course to take up.

Results has been released and it was slightly better than I excepted. Really thank god & everybody who helped me. Although it wasn't the best honours but at least there was something. Compared to my peers who is in the same course as me, those power engineering idiots who studied so hard all their 4 yrs & much more hardworking & willing to learn more than I do get same class . Is really pure luck that got me through this 4 years. Frankly I know nuts about electrical engineering. ZERO! I only know how to study for exams. After exams I will forget everything.

So given this what makes me think i can study masters. SIGH!!!!

Sky Glider like Cable car so sunny today

Anyway today i learnt a new ride, I actually requested for it, haha!!! but is really tough cos yr arms will get so tired lifting the lap bars, is like those cable cars hanging but is not totally a car, just a seat for 2 people with lap bars.

The weather is killing, the sun is so strong, I am like getting burnt & dark. It was hot up there with hot air blowing. GOSH!!! when the summer comes in july is gona be worst.

Gaby trained me there, it was her 1st time to train people at Sky Glider, she was so ken cheong that she talked so fast but I still managed to catch every word she said.

At the end of the day when i returned the keys, my sup ask me how was it, i said it was tiring, my arms aching from lifitng all the lap bars. I told her I wanted to have toned arms that's why request for that ride. so lame. Anyway this sup Kristina is really nice. Another sup Juilie aka my gf cos she favours zixue, nhung, rong & I. haha!!! Before Nhung learnt Giant Dipper, Zixue, rong & I are like her Dipper crews. Practically whole of last 2 weeks, we were there except a few times & days that she was off.

Now more and more people are coming, more students so we wouldn't be that important at dipper anymore.

My left arm aching hell alot, just now massage for zixue and she also massage for me, haha! she was also at dipper but the other end, I didn't know until we were abt to close. Cos she called & I picked up the phone.

Spongebob square pants , there is Nick there, wow!!! Went for Spongebob thriller animated rides.... And took photos with spongebob & patrick.

Too lazy to upload pictures of the rides that I took, GA has lots of funky roller coaster rides & is so much bigger than Boardwalk.

Doggy Beach

Friday we ended work at 3pm, so decided to go bank deposit of pay cheques & also go chill out with Michelle, really fun to be with her :)

After met her at Marini's downtown we went to the doggy beach.

Is really cool working at Marini's cos we get 50% discount.

After deserts, we headed back to the aunty's place to get their dog to go Doggy Beach, is a beach for dogs but only from 4-10pm.

Went to doggy beach in jeans, we didn't know we will go there, but after that Aunty Mary (michelle's aunty) drove us back to get our shorts & change up. And Michelle & her uncle went to get pizza for dinner.

They are really nice people, treat us dinner a few times already, so pai seh!

Let me get back at the doggy beach, the dogs are so wonderful, they dun bark or disturb u, really in the whole of their own. Chasing each other & playing. The dogs here are very well-trained. So fun to be at the doggy beach with so many different breeds.... Dog lovers will love this place man.

See Nate getting wild on the beach, took off his clothes & start playing, frankly it was really very very cold, my legs are freezing but yet he still can take it.

This is their dog, and the owner, Michelle's uncle.. He works in a candy factory so Nate always gets lots of candy candy... :)

Ended the day at Aunty Mary's place, and we went for hot tub which was NATE's favourite thing to do. Really fun, so cold outside & we are soaking ourselves in Hot tub with bubbles (jacuzi)

Zixue & I went to Gilroy on our off day 5th June

Initially, it was suppose to be the 5 of us, but somehow somewhere things changed.

Michelle had to standby to work for Marini's, Nhung wanted to go sight-seeing, Rong sprain her ankle (i think she is getting better now, take care gal).

So left with Xue & I. We woke up very early that morning at 5plus am. Cos the greyhound bus leaves at 6.30am. It was an adventure of us la, walk to downtown in the cold... :) And we took the 7.10pm bus back, so we got back to Santa Cruz ard 10pm.

It was tiring but really fun, bought alot of stuff. Cheap Cheap Factory outlet stuff, but some is expensive.

This photo is while waiting at San Jose greyhound terminal, cos had to change bus to get to Gilroy. Final we reach Gilroy Premium outlets... really big :)

We took a bus from Gilroy greyhound to the premium outlets, so after shopping very tired, we ended shopping at 6pm, then walked to the bus stop and wait for the 6.28pm bus. So while waiting took some pictures. Then realise that we didn't take photo at outside the shops cos we were busy shopping. Scared no time la....

This is the coach stuff that i bought, the colouful one is damn expensive, but the black one is only 21 USD b4 Tax. Alot of wristlets sold out.

This is the fossil watch that I bought 40USD b4 tax, but it doesn't comes with the tin, have to pay 5 bucks extra. Anyway, still worth it la, I bought like 2 extra tins for fun.

Footwear, I bought a gap slipper for fun, no la of cos to wear, cos I only brought one flip flops & I wear them at home, cos the carpets & floor looks dirty & i dun bother to clean.

And see my new shoe, is from sketchers, I wanted to get KEDS, but the designs were so off in the factory outlet.

There are some clothes & addidas t-shirt that I bought really cheap but then haven't take photo yet. The addidas t-shirt cost me only 7.50USD and one was only 5 bucks. I think is nice. :)

Oh well, i am updating all my blog entries now cos the Bagarians are having a party again, this time is birthday party, one of the guys, they are friendly people. Not everybody are like them especially the gals, & since is bday party so he invited us, go for a drink, I ask for beer, cos is clean & never gets to open it except yrself, at least it will be save...

So one of the supervisor is there with his gf, so lame, is pratically all the bagarians hanging out to drink just for fun. Anyway, my room-mate worked late today cos there was some sch graduation & they celebrated it at boardwalk, in fact many schools are doing that.

So my room-mate came back late, then my sup saw her & out of good will he called her over ( at tt point of time zixue & I & nus people quietly left & went back to our room, stayed there for less than 30mins, cos it is so cold outside & we dun drink like them so waste time. )

But guess wat, out of good will he got scolded for making so much noise with them & she is so cute la told the bagarians off also, whether they know e housing rules cannot make noise afer 10pm to 8am.

Is 1.42am now i think most of them are goin off soon, but there are still lots of them

to a nearby park. So on weekends we worked at 3pm, since morning free we decided to go downtown take a look at the parade and pick up some stuff at traders joe (supermarket).

Once again is weekend, so I am doing afternoon shift 3pm till closing, today & tmr boardwalk closes at 8pm. This morning went to Marini's candy shop for paper work, Monday & Thursday we'll start training after boardwalk closes. So which means soon I'll have some extra income for shopping. Basically, everyweek boardwalk gives us 32 Hours only. very stingy lor. where got enough to spend.

Next week Tuesday is my off day, I requested for thursday but they are so watever give all of us Tuesday. Anyway hopefully michelle will not be working and we can all go Gilroy factory outlet shopping together & she can stay over at our place on Monday night. That will be so fun, 5 gals hanging out, so girly. But I like.

Rational of Michelle staying over night so that we that it on Tuesday morning we can all walk to downtown together at 6am. So we are going to take the first Greyhound bus in the morning at 6.30am. Then she dun have to trouble her aunty to send her to downtown.

I just can't wait for Factory outlet shopping.

Anyway, is been quite a few days since i updated....

Although work was tiring but is kinda off fun. :)

Basically on Monday: Rebecca my tuition kid came to visit Boardwalk with her frens, met up with her and managed to pass her the stuff that I brought from Singapore.

Tuesday was off day, went to downtown & had starbucks & had dinner at Michelle's aunty place.

Wed: work nothing special came back & watch mobtv cos I have international user trial for 2 weeks

Thur: after work had lobster with salad & fries for only USD$12. so yummy

Fri: ended work early cos the supervisor screw up the schedules. So went to boardwalk to play & after that went for pool game. Free pool & ping pong game for employees on weekdays.

Anyway, i realise my blog is too boring, no choice la. Is so tiring, although I do not work long hours but somehow is just so tiring. heehee!!!

Oh well, sat and sun I am working 4-11pm. Is so cold last night. And I was operating doubleshot, those rides whereby is a tall tower and it gets shoot all the way up like 2-3times, is abot 125feet tall. This ride is just next to the beach so day time, you can actually see people sun-tanning. haha!!! Afternoon there's sun but the wind is still so strong.

Anyway last night, the ride broke down 2 times. I almost thought it'll be closed but the maintanence managed to fix it. Instead of 12 people for the the ride he told is to reduce to 8 people. afraid the air pressure cannot cope with too many people.

Trip to costco, wholesale

Michelle and her cousin Nathan, but we call him NATE!!! so cute hor, a playhouse at costco.

On a thur afternoon, michelle's aunty brought zixue and I to costco, this big supermarlet which mostly sells whole sale things, all in large quanity and much cheaper.

This is some of the things we bought, there is HERSHEY's brownie mix only we need is to add water, oil and egg and mix the flour, look at our final product with vanila ice-cream. yummy. Cooking and baking here is fun and easy.

Look at the nestle choclate chip cookies, all we need is to scoop the dough into smallers pieces and throw it in the oven and can eat liao. so easy hor. :)

Kick-off Party

The kick-off party was quite fun, cos we can get to play arcade games unlimited. :)

Should have played longer.

The best part was there was a lucky draw for employees. And thanks to michelle I won a starbuck 25 bucks voucher. haha!!! cos she was holding onto our tickets.

One day, we will go drink coffee together.

Breakfast after getting our social security number, michelle's aunty drove us to downtown for breakfast. New York Bagels, if i am going to new york i will definitely eat it. :) yummy

First all, michelle was suppose to be my room-mate but very sad that last min she cannot work, stupid speedwing singapore agency sucks man.

So my room-mate is Nhung from Vietnam studying at NUS real estate, very nice gal and easy-going cos most of the time she anything also can.

Next 2 friendly neighbours, zixue and ruirong they are sec sch frens. Zixue is from TP and Ruirong from RP. Very fun people, cos everyday after work I will be at their place gossiping abt work people. heehee!!!!
